Faces of ABLE: Camryn

April 27, 2023

The ABLE United community is full of inspiring stories of individuals with disabilities living their best life and achieving their dreams.

We use our “Faces of ABLE” series to shed light on the achievements and milestones of our account holders – the faces behind what we do. These individuals are using their ABLE accounts to save and invest for today, tomorrow, or whatever the future holds.

One of our newest ABLE United ambassadors, Dr. Virginia “Ginnie” Londahl-Ramsey, is an associate professor and the director of the nurse anesthesiology program at Florida Gulf Coast University and mother to her 20-year-old daughter, Camryn.

Ginnie and Camyrn’s story are both unique and beautiful – merging Ginnie’s passion for the disability community with her desire to grow her family through adoption. Their fate together was instantly sealed as soon as Ginnie and her husband saw a photo of then 11-week-old Camryn.

Camryn was diagnosed with an intellectual disability and autism, but that has never stopped her. She’s been able to use her natural talents, empathy, and her love for children, and with the support she receives from her family, to build a life that will set her up for a successful future – including financial independence with her ABLE United account.

Press “play” below to hear Ginnie and Camryn’s story and the heartfelt success of love and determination.

If you’re an ABLE United account holder and are ready and willing to share your story, we want to hear from you! Email us at info@ableunited.com.
